Best car seat - Kiddy Comfort Pro

I did a lot of research trying to find the best car seat for my little baby. He is too big for previous Maxi Cosi rear facing seat and it was time to find a front facing one. I've read dozens of comments on various websites, bought membership on Which and finally selected:

Kiddy Comfort Pro

Advantages

Why? This car seat checked all the boxes and even more:

• Safe - first and foremost. On Which it had a Best Buy status and second highest rank. The first was other Kiddy - Guardian Pro. But in the safety features Comfort was better (more stars) than Guardian. Funnily enough Guardian with new Kiddy Shock Absorber should have better marks during front collision tests. But it didn't and to my surprise test results were even worse - three stars compare to Comfort's four stars.
• It is suitable for groups 1/2/3 (9-36kg) so will be used until child is 12 years old. It has easily adjustable headrest and armrests so it grows with the baby. Other features include: extendible leg rest, 2-way baby insert cushion, optional reclining position and one-hand adjustment for height and width
• It cost us £190. Expensive? Not. It is only £17 per year of usage. Also definitely cheaper options than having 2 or 3 different seats for each of weight/size groups.
• Unique (almost) concept of not having 5 point harness and replacing it with front cushion (Kiddy Impact Shield). Our baby loves it and we have no problems with it.
• Upholstery is washable and breathable (Thermotex fabric)
• Light - about 6 kg
• It had very good comments on Amazon, Which and other sites.
• It is approved to be used on aircraft
• If you care about those things there are various (funky) designs: green, pink, you name it. Although we've selected black - the most practical.

Disadvantages

Few small disadvantages though:

• Uses seat belts and they have to be long enough. Could potentially not fit into older cars. But no problem in our VW Golf from 2003.
• Takes a while to get used to fastening seatbelt around it
