Marathon Training Journal - January
After Christmas laziness I'm back to hard work.
In December I run only 3 times and covered distance of 23,26 km. That is not very impressive. I decided that if I want to run marathon some things must change. Training must become very important, scheduled for a certain part of the day. There can be no more excuses like weather, late hour, reluctance, something on TV ect.
It is not easy because of my new job. I get up at 6 o'clock to be on time for work in London office at 9AM. And I'm back in Huntingdon at 7PM. But still after that I dress up in my running clothes, stretch out, warm up and go for a half hour run. It is already dark so I'm running around Huntingdon city centre on ring road, because it is brightly lit. Not much of a fresh air though.
In January I run overall distance of 72 km and total time of exercises was 7 hours 5 minutes and 32 seconds. I've achieved average pace of 10,151 km/h.
This month I've trained 13 days - the highest number ever. But I'm not satisfied with average pace. My biggest concern is my foot. It goes numb after about half hour of running. I need to stop for a while to get rid of that feeling. But it returns after a while. I hope it will pass.
And here are my new training routes:
